Jeff joined Aspect at the start of 2015. He has over ten years of international political experience having worked in South Africa, on Capitol Hill and in the UK Parliament. During his time in Parliament Jeff specialised in Foreign Affairs and International Development.
After leaving the political sphere, Jeff set up his own boutique political communications firm providing advice and services predominantly to international firms operating in the developing world. Jeff specialises particularly in the extractive industry sector, helping to set up and run the All Party Parliamentary Group on the extractive industry in the UK.
Jeff was a candidate in the UK 2015 General Election. In his spare time, he studies and teaches Ju Jitsu.
Ben McCarthy is a former television journalist who spent 15 years working in network news as a correspondent for international news organisations including BBC News, ITN and Sky News. He moved into communications in 2004 working for a global PR agency before joining Aspect in 2008.
From his experience in front of the camera Ben has an excellent knowledge of how newsrooms work, and how companies can best present themselves in both good times and bad.
Ben’s clients have included AkzoNobel, British Airways, DSM and Hewlett Packard. He is a specialist in media relations, media training, crisis communications and crisis management.
